Our trip to Kansas to meet Wyatt...

Our Kansas trip began early Saturday morning and after a quick trip through Waco, we hit I-35 and were well on our way. We made a couple of "Sophia" stops at two McDonald's along the way to let her get out and play a while. Other than that and a little road construction, the trip was really smooth. We arrived in Kansas around 5pm and were thrilled to finally meet "Baby" Wyatt and see Jenn as well!

Saturday evening we went to eat at a Pizza place and enjoyed catching up. Sunday we spent the morning hanging out at Jeff and Jenn's new house and letting the two cousins have some play time together. Sophia's main concern was that Wyatt always had his "paci" close by! After lunch, we headed to a "coupon" party (yes, a coupon party!)at one of Jenn's friends houses, which was fun and very interesting! After a little Kansas weather that included hail, we headed back to the house to enjoy the evening.

Monday we headed out to the airport to bring Jeff a vehicle (since he was returning from visting Jason) and then the girls and Wyatt went to Exploration Place in Wichita. We had fun there and Sophia enjoyed playing in the toddler section and got to see some very interesting things. We even got to get in a tornado capsule that simulated wild 79 mph winds. It was fun for mommy, but Sophia just wanted to get out!

Monday evening we went Super Target and then to eat at a nice cafe and Sophia enjoyed some time with Uncle Jeff. Sophia is still talking about her bubble bath she was able to take in Jenn and Jeff's big jacuzzi tub. Tuesday it was time to head back to Texas and reality. :-(

All in all it was a great trip with some great family. We miss them like crazy already, but hope to go back when Kris is able to make the trip with us. Wyatt is such a sweet and adorable baby..who wouldn't want to see him more often?!!

Sophia meets her little cousin...

Quick recap (with a more detailed post to follow)...

Melanie (my cousin), Sophia and I made a quick trip to Andover, Kansas this weekend to see an adorable little boy who just happens to be Sophia's first cousin and our nephew. He's such a precious little boy that Sophia absolutely adores. In fact, when we got home to Brenham she wanted to know if we were going back to Baby Wyatt's house tomorrow (Not bad for a 2 year old considering she had already forgotten about the 9 hour car ride to get home). Those two will have many FUN adventures in the years to come!

Here are just a few of many pictures. She even modeled her new princess tutu and bow that Baby Wyatt gave her when we got back home!
