May God bless this little girl...

I’ll begin by saying; I am as guilty as the next person. I sometimes complain when things do not go exactly as I had planned. I sometimes envy those that on the outside appear to have more than me. At times, I even become frustrated when it seems I have more to do on my “To Do” List than there are hours in the day. Why? Because I am human and some of us do those types of things.

With that said, there are certain things in life that can stop all of this in its tracks and make us realize how some things we worry about really are minor. Like the story of a little girl that I have been following for a few weeks now. (See link: http://brandiandchris.blogspot.com/).

Scarlett was born healthy. Her parents worried about all of the normal things that newborn parents are supposed to worry about.

And then everything changed. The normal worries were put aside to fight for her little innocent life. They have been fighting for a couple of months now and have already gone through more than any of us ever have imagined going through.

As a parent that has had a child in the hospital for a week with RSV, I know what it is like to see your child sick. However, Sophia's hospitalization seems so minor when compared to this. They would give everything to have only been in our shoes and just fight the RSV. I cannot imagine kissing your child on their way to surgery and not knowing the outcome you will face in the hours ahead.

Brandi and Chris have done that and done it so well. They are an inspiration to me and many others. Scarlett has already become a role model for others even though she will not understand until years down the road. May God Bless that little girl and her amazing mom and dad!
