It Really is The Little Things...

Last night as Kris and I were playing with Sophia, I started thinking about the little things she does that always make us laugh. Mostly it's little phrases, but sometimes it actions as well.

For example, a car passed me on the highway the other day going many mph over the posted speed limit and I just made the comment the car needed to slow down. She quickly repsonds from the back seat, "Huh momma." I then tell her that the car was not being nice and passing us when it should not. Without missing a beat, Sophia responds "Time Out Car... Be Nice." Can you tell she hears that a lot?

Or sometimes it's how she articulates her words that add humor to our day. We expecially like Mickey House (for Mickey Mouse), Winging (for Swinging outside), or even the word 'gainerate' (for gatorade). Another favorite...Uncle Jason (whose Air Force Call Sign is Trunk Monkey) is now known as Trunky Monkey. The language of toddlers is just so cute!

It's hard to believe she will be making a big move to the "Big kid" classroom in less than a month at school. I am excited that we will finally be able to master potty training, but at the same time it makes me realize that our little baby is growing up. She never stops moving and constantly is looking for ways to create her own new and exciting adventures. For now, the most important thing to me is that we enjoy every moment of her as she grows and learns to be her own little person.

It really is the little things she does that makes life with her SO much fun!
